Hi there – and welcome to my shiny new website!

I’m Emma Paxton – artist, designer, illustrator, and general visual magpie based on the south coast of England – and this is Imagistic.

If you’ve followed my work before, you might know that I’m ever so slightly obsessed with stories, symbols, memory, and the occasional dash of mythology. Whether I’m sketching out an idea for a mural, experimenting with typography, or getting lost in layered textures and colours, I’m always chasing that spark of visual storytelling that makes something feel just right.

This new site is where I’ll be sharing a curated mix of my past and present work – from illustrations and design commissions to photography, experiments, and passion projects. It’s a bit of a visual playground, really – and you’re very welcome to explore!

What’s this blog all about?

This blog is where I’ll be posting updates, behind-the-scenes peeks at work-in-progress, thoughts on inspiration, and occasional creative ramblings. Expect everything from sketchbook snapshots to the odd bit of artistic nerdiness (with bonus symbolism and the occasional mythological reference thrown in for good measure).

If you’re curious about how something was made, why I chose a particular motif, or just want to follow along with what I’m up to, this is the place to be.
